August is bringing a little extra energy to the studio, and there are a few dates worth circling now. This month’s calendar includes a beginner-friendly practice opportunity, a full Wild West theme party night, and a quick look back at our first annual Dancefest.
Whether August is your month to get more comfortable on the floor, try something new, or just enjoy a fun night out with the studio community, there is plenty to look forward to.

Beginner Practice is happening August 11
The Beginner Practice will take place on Monday, August 11, during the 6:45 PM group class.
This is a great spot on the calendar for anyone who wants more repetition, more time with the basics, or a low-pressure way to feel steadier on the dance floor. Group classes are helpful because they let dancers work on rhythm, steps, connection, and floor awareness without the pressure of performing.
Beginner practice is also a reminder that progress does not have to be complicated. Sometimes the most helpful thing is simply dancing the same patterns a few more times, hearing the music in a relaxed setting, and getting comfortable moving with different partners.
If you have been away from the studio for a bit, this is a good night to come back. If you are brand new, this is a friendly place to start. If you already know the basics, it is still a useful refresher.

The Wild West Theme Party is August 21
Get ready for boots, hats, denim, fringe, country flair, and plenty of personality. The August Wild West Theme Party is scheduled for Thursday, August 21.
The evening starts with the 6:45 PM group class, followed by the 7:30 PM party.
Theme parties are always a fun way to bring a little extra excitement to the studio. The Wild West theme gives everyone an easy way to dress up without overthinking it. A cowboy hat, boots, a plaid shirt, a bandana, or Western-inspired accessories are all perfect.
No costume is required, of course. The most important thing is showing up ready to dance and enjoy the night. Still, if you have been waiting for a reason to wear your favorite Western look, this is it.
What to expect at the party
The Wild West night is meant to feel fun, relaxed, and easy to join. Come for the group class, stay for the party, or make it a full evening.
Expect:
Group class at 6:45 PM
Party start at 7:30 PM
A Wild West theme
Social dancing
Photo-worthy outfits
A welcoming studio atmosphere
Themed nights are also a great way to meet more people around the studio. The shared theme gives everyone something easy to talk about, and the dance floor gives everyone a reason to move.
If you are newer to social dancing, arriving for the group class before the party can help you settle in. You will already be warmed up, you will have a few steps fresh in your mind, and walking into the party will feel easier.
Dancefest photos and videos are coming soon
This past weekend marked the studio’s first annual Dancefest, and what a milestone it was. Thank you to everyone who danced, cheered, helped, supported, attended, or simply brought great energy into the room.
A first annual event always carries something special. It sets the tone for what can become a studio tradition. Dancefest gave everyone a chance to celebrate the work, growth, and joy that happen through dancing.
Photos and videos from the weekend will be posted soon, so keep an eye out. Once they are shared, they will be a wonderful way to relive favorite moments, spot familiar faces, and celebrate the dancers who helped make the event memorable.

A few easy ways to make the most of August
August has a nice balance of practice, social dancing, and celebration. To get the most out of the month, keep things simple.
Come to the Beginner Practice if you want to feel more grounded. The extra repetition can make a big difference, especially with timing and confidence.
Join the Wild West group class if you want to warm up before the party. It is also a simple way to meet people before the social dancing begins.
Dress for the theme if that sounds fun. You do not need anything fancy. A small Western touch is enough.
Watch for the Dancefest posts. Photos and videos will help capture the spirit of the weekend and give everyone a chance to celebrate it again.
We will see you on the dance floor
August is shaping up to be a fun month at the studio. Come practice on August 11, join the Wild West celebration on August 21, and watch for Dancefest photos and videos coming soon.
Bring your questions, your dance shoes, and your best Western spirit. The calendar is set, and the floor is waiting.
